trying to change the background

why won't the middle part of the background change? I don't get it.

I might just be a genius! I posted a photo! Maybe I can do this blogging thing! That photo is Reese from April. She has lots more hair now. I'll have to figure out how to label the photos.

Look! it showed up! But now I want to do photos. I want that slideshow thing on the sidebar to be my own photos. And I want that travel thing to show more than photos of Costa Rica...but we'll save that for another day.

Things that make you go 'hmmmm...'

I'm trying to figure out this blog thing. I've had plenty of offers of help to get started, but I"m guessing they don't want to help me at 11pm. Trying to get this going really drives home the point that I'm am basically computer illiterate these days. I want to know how to play with my photos and post them and maybe write a comment or two. That's all...no lofty aspirations. I don't even need to get fancy with fonts and colors. I should probably ask Walker how to do this..he'd probably know. They probably went over it in kindergarten.....which makes me think of my first computer class. Would have been in 1985 or so....had giant floppy disks and everything. Sadly, none of that seems to apply anymore.
